A room is 5.4 m by 4.8 m. A carpet is laid centrally,

Iength x breadth

Carpet is centrally placed 40cm

So to get length and breadth of carpet reduce 80cm (both side 40cm each ).

Area of Carpet 460cmx 400cm

Convert to Meters. So 4.6m x 4 m

18.4 sq mtrs
