Lateral surface area or area of walls=[2(l+b)×h].                                                      =[2(5.5+4)×3.5]sq units.                           =2×9.5×3.5 sq units.                                     =2×33.25 sq units.                                         =66.50sq units                                              length of paper required for papering the wall=0.9×66.50=59.85m.                         Cost of papering the wall=₹(1.20×59.85)=₹119.7

Cost of papering the Wall 119.7 rupees

Step-by-step explanation:

Given;

5.5m long , 4m wide and 3.5m high of a Room.

Total area of the room is given=2(L+W)\times H      Where  L=length,W=wide and H=height

∴Area of Room=2(5.5+4)\times 3.5=66.50 m^{2}

Length of paper required for papering the wall=0.9\times 66.50=59.85 m^{3}

So, Cost of papering the Wall=1.20\times 59.85=119.7 rupees
