☆Given☆

Length = 5m

Breath = 2m 50cm wide

= 2m + (50/100)m

= 2.5m

To find

m^2 of carpet needed to cover the floor

Formula to be used

Area = Length × breadth

Solution

Area = 5m × 2.5m

==> 12.5m^2
