Given, length of room = 5 m

 breadth of room = 3 m 50 cm = 3.5 m

Carpet needed to cover the floor room = area of the floor = length × breadth

                              = 5× 3.5

= 17.5 m²

∴ Area of carpet requires to cover the floor = 17.5 m²
