A room is 6 m long , 4.5 m board and 3 M high. find the cost of white washing its four walls at the rate of ₹ 12 per m square. also find the cost of lying the stone slab on the floor at ₹ 48 per m square

Area of 4 walls = perimeter x height

                      = 2 ( 6 + 4.5 )  x 3

                      = 2 x 10.5 x 3  = 63 m²

Cost for white washing = 63 x 12 = 756

Area of floor = l x b  = 6 x 4.5 = 27 m²

so,

Cost = 48 x 27 = 1296
