Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the room = Length * Breadth

= 6 * 5 = 30 m²

Area of the carpet = Length² = 4² = 16 m²

∴ The area of the floor which will remain covered by the carpet = 16 m²

The area of the floor which will remain uncovered by the carpet

= 30 - 16 m² = 14 m²
