A room is 8.5m long ,3.5m wide and 3.4m high .it has a door 1.4m ×2.5m and a window 2m×1.55m.find the cost of papering its wall at rupees 25per metre with a paper 50cm wide.

Area of room=2(l+b)h
=2(8.5+3.5)3.4
=81.6m^2
area of door=1.4×2.5=3.50m^2
area of window=2×1.55=3.10m^2
so,total area of door and window=3.50+3.10=6.60m^2
so,total area of wall=81.6-6.60=75m^2
costs=75×25×50/100m=Rs187.5
