a room is 8m long. a rod of length 10 m has been hardly fitted into the room on its floor from its one corner to the opposite corner. what is the breadth of the room ?

the length of the room=8m
one corner to the opposite corner=diagnol
we can use Pythagoras theorem
diagnol=10m
hypotenuse^2-length^2=breadth^2
=10^2-8^2
=100-64
=36
6×6=36

so breadth=6 m
