• According to Question we get to know that the carpet has same area as Area of Floor.

• The Breadth of Carpet is given So, we can find the area of carpet.

Now,

$\implies\rm{ Area \:of\: floor = L\times{B}}$

$\implies\rm{ Area \:of\: floor = 8\times{5}}$

$\implies\rm{Area \:of\:floor = 40m^2}$

Therefore,

• Area of Floor = Area of Carpet

$\implies\rm{Area\:of\:Carpet =\dfrac{Area\:of\:floor}{Breadth}}$

$\implies\rm{Area\:of\:Carpet\:to\:be\:used = \dfrac{40}{0.8}}$

$\implies\rm{Area\:of\:Carpet\:to\:be\:Used = 50m}$

Now,

$\implies\rm{Rate\:of\:Covering\:the\:floor = 225 per m}$

$\implies\rm{Cost\:of\:Covering\:the\: 50m^2\:floor = 225 \times{50}}$

$\implies\rm{Total\:Cost = 11250}$

Hence, The cost of covering the floor is 11250.

Given :
