Room is cuboid in shape
Thus it's total area is
=2×(8×6+5.5×6+8×5.5)
=250sq.m
Area of door
=2.5x 2
=5sq.m
Area of windows
=2(1.5×1)
=3
Therefore total area of wall to be whitewashed
=Total area of room -(Area of door + area of 2 Windows)
= 250-(5+3)
=250-8
=242sq.m
Cost of painting room is3.20 rs per sq.m
Therefore
=242 × 3.20
=₹774.4
~₹774
Therefore cost of whitewashing the room is ₹774 *approx*
