Given:

Length of a room = 9.68m long.

Breadth of a room = 6.2m.

Length of tile = 22cm.

Breadth of tile = 10cm.

To find:

The total cost of the tiles at the rate of rs 250 per tile.

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

⟹ 9.68m × 6.2m

⟹ 60.016m²

Area of a tile = ?

⟹ 22cm × 10cm

⟹ 220cm

Converting the centimeter into meter.

⟹ 200 = 0.022m².

Number of tiles = ?

60.016m²/0.22m²

⟹ 2728

Total cost of the tiles = ?

⟹ Number of tiles × Cost of a tile

⟹ 2728 × 2.50

⟹ Rs.6820

∴ Total cost of the tiles at the rate of Rs.250 per tile is Rs.6820.
