A room is 9m 75cm in length and 7m 50cm in breadth. Find the area of the carpet required to cover the floor.

Length of room = 9m 75cm

= 975 cm

Breadth of room = 7m 50cm

= 750 cm

We know that,

Area of a rectangle = L × B

= 975 × 750

= 7,31,250 square cm

Hence, the area of carpet required is 7,31,250 square cm
