Solution:

Area of Rectangular floor:

⇒ Length × Breadth

⇒ 11 × 8

Area of four walls = Curved surface area of room

  • CSA of cuboidal room = 2(l + b)h

⇒ 2(11 + 8) × 5

⇒ 2 × 18 × 5

Area of four walls and floor of room:

⇒ 190 + 88

278 m²

Cost of cementing its four walls and floor at the rate of ₹5 per square metre,

⇒ 278 × 5 = 1390 Rs.
