a room measures 12x3m.the floor of the room is to be covered by tiles measuring 45cm by 30cm.how many tiles are needed to cover the floor

here's ur answer...

given the length of the room is 12m and breadth is 3m.

area of the floor of the room = l × b

= 12 × 3

= 36m²

given the Length of the tile is = 45cm = 0.45m

breadth of the tile = 30cm = 0.3m

area of the tile = l × b

= 0.45 × 0.3

= 0.135cm²

according to the question we have to find the no. of tiles needed to cover the floor. so we have to divide the area of floor with the area of one tile.

no. of tiles required = 36/0.135

= 266.6

hence 267 tiles are required (approximately).
