Answer:

Area of floor =  (41/2) * (67/4)   = 2747/8 ft²

Area of a tile = (1/2)(1/4) = 1/8  ft²

Number of tiles required = Area of floor / Area of a tile

= (2747/8)/(1/8)

= 2747

Cost of 1 tile = rs 62

Cost of 2747 = 2747 * 62 =  rs 170314

Total cost of tiling the border of the room by the designer tiles. = rs 170314
