The value of MSCP is 162.33 lamp when 30 by 15-meter area is to be lit by 10 lamps, with an average illumination of 85 lux.

Given that,

A 30 by 15-meter area is to be lit by 10 lamps, with an average illumination of 85 lux. If the utilization and depreciation ratios are 0.5 and 0.8, respectively.

We have to calculate the MSCP of each lamp.

We know that,

Size = 30×15 m

Average = 85 lumens

Utilization factor = 0.5

Depreciation factors = 0.8

Let us take MSCP = x

Total lumens required = number of lamps × MSCP ×4π

= 30 × x × 4π

= 120πx

Lumens reaching on the working plane = \frac{total lumens \times UF}{DF}

= \frac{120\pi x \times 0.5}{0.8}

= 75πx

Average illumination is the ratio of lumens reaching on the working plane  and area

Average = \frac{75\pi x}{30\times 15} = \frac{1}{6} \pi x

85 = \frac{1}{6} \pi x

x = 162.33

Therefore, The value of MSCP is 162.33
