Answer:

Given :-

A room measuring 7 m by 6m is to be covered by square tiles of side 21cm.

To Find :-

number of tiles required to cover the floor.If the cost of one tile is ru.40,find the total cost of tiles?

Solution :-

7 m = 700 cm

6 m = 600 cm

Area of room = l × b

=> 700 × 600

=> 420000 cm²

Area of tile = side²

=> (21)²

=> 441 cm²

No. of tiles = 420000/441

No. of tiles = 952

Cost = No. of tiles × Rate

Cost = 952 × 40

Cost = 38080

Given : measurement of room = 7 m by 6 m

square tiles = 21cm

cost of one tile = 40rs

Solution : 7m = 700cm

6m = 600 cm

Area of room = length × breadth

= 700 × 600 = 420000 cm²

area of square tiles = (side)² = 21² = 441 cm²

number of tiles required=

 \frac{420000}{441}  = 952

cost of tiles = 952 × 40 = 38080rs
