a)Root Pressure and turgor pressure

b)Grafting and layering

c)Asexual and sexual reproduction

d)Self Pollination And Cross Pollination

Answer a):-

Turgor pressure:-

is the pressure of the cell contents against the cell wall in plant cells. In hypotonic solution, water diffuses into the cell and cells enlarge and extension growth occurs. As water diffuses in, cytoplasm builds up a pressure against the cell wall. This pressure is called turgor pressure.

Root pressure:-

is a type of positive hydrostatic pressure that is created by the cells of the roots as a result of which the cell sap rises upward through the stem.

Answer b)

In layering, first the roots are formed on the stem of a mother plant and only after that the stem is cut off and is planted as a new plant. Grafting is done on a stock plant which has a very strong root system. Plants grown from layering will fruit earlier than the ones grown from seeds.

Answer c)

In sexual reproduction two partners involve to produce an offspring. There is a huge amount of variation in sexual reproduction. The offspring only resembles the parent slightly. Whereas in asexual reproduction there is no need for 2 partners .

Answer d)

Self-pollination occurs when the pollen from the anther is deposited on the stigma of the same flower, or another flower on the same plant. Cross-pollination is the transfer of pollen from the anther of one flower to the stigma of another flower on a different individual of the same species.
