Length of the rope = 150 m

It is divided into 3 pieces

Ratio of the 3 pieces = 2 : 3 : 5

Define x:

Let x be the constant ratio

Ratio of the 3 pieces = 2x : 3x : 5x

Solve x:

2x + 3x + 5x = 150

10x = 150

x = 15

Find the length of each part:

2x = 2(15) = 30 m

3x = 3(15) = 45 m

5x = 5(15) = 75 m

Answer: The 3 parts are 30m, 45m and 75m

The total length is 150m

rope is divided in the ratio 2:3:5

therefore first part get (2/10) x 150 = 30m

second part get (3/10) x 150 =45m

and the part get (5/10) x 15 =75m

so each part get the length inthe ratio 2:3:5 is 30m, 45m,75 respectively
