Length of rope = 1 m 17 cm = 117 cm

Let the first part be 6a cm

Second part = 7a cm

=> 6a + 7a = 117

=> 13a = 117

=> a = 9

Length of first part = 54 cm

Length of second part = 63 cm

Ratio =6:7.
L.C.M of 6 and 7=42.
Therefore, in the 6th,the rope length =
(6/42*117)cm =16.71cm.
In the 7th, the rope length =
(7/42*117)cm=19.50cm.
Therefore, the length of first division is 16.71 cm and the other is 19.50cm.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!
