A rope 35m long. If the rope was split into 2 parts one of which was (2/5)th the other. What will be the length of the 2 parts.

Answer:

length of one part=2/5

total length of rope=35m

length of other part =35-2/5

= 35×5-2×1÷5

=175-2÷5

=173÷5

=34.6m
