1.total length of rope = 12 3/8m =99/8m=12.375m

number of pieces =6

length of each piece =12.375/6=2.0625

4.distance covered by the vehicle in 4 hours =292.4 kilometre

distance covered by the vehicle in 1 hours =292.4/4=7.31

Thus it is the average distance covered by the vehicle

5.total length of ribbon =7m

total length of each piece that is to be cut =0.35 m

so,number of pieces of ribbon =7m/0.35m=20 pieces

6.(4.2+3.8+7.6)/3

=15.6/3=5.2
