Width of rectangle                                                             =12m

Perimeter of rectangle/square                                         =2 ( l + b )

                                                                                           =2 ( 27 + 12 )

                                                                                           = 2 × 39

                                                                                           =78

Let the side of square be $x$.      

So, 4 $x$ = 78

         $x$ = $\frac{78}{4}$

         $x$ = 19.5

Therefore, the side of the square is 19.5
