  • It is given that the rope is cut into 3 pieces in ratio 5:6:7.

We have to find the length of each piece.

  • Let us assume that the length of each piece  to be 5x, 6x and 7x

Then as per the question,

5x+6x+7x = 900

18x = 900

x = 50 m

so, the length of each part will be

5x= 5×50

   =250

6x=6×50

    =300

7x= 7×50

   = 350

So, the lengths will be 250m, 300m, and 350 m.

Answer:

250 m, 300 m and 350 m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The rope is cut into three pieces in the ratio 5:6:7.

          The total length of rope is 900 m.

To find : The length of each piece.

Solution :

i) Let the length of each piece be 5x, 6x, 7x.

ii) As per the given data, we can write the equation as

5x+6x+7x = 900

18x = 900

x = \frac{900}{18}

x = 50 m.

iii) So, the length of each part be

5x = 5*50

   = 250 m.

6x = 6*50

   = 300 m.

7x = 7*50

   = 350 m.

iv) ∴ The length of each pieces is 250 m, 300 m. and 350 m.
