A rope is of length of 7.37 metres .If 2.78 metres is cut from it how much of the rope is left .If this rope sufficient to tie a cloth line between two hooks which are 6 metres a part ? If not how much more is required ?

Answer:

Length of the rope = 7.37 m

Length of the rope cut = 2.78 m

Length of the rope left = 7.37 - 2.78

= 4.59 m

Distance between two hooks = 6 m

As we have rope of length 4.59 m , it is not sufficient to tie a cloth line between two hooks which are 6 m apart.

Length of the rope required more to tie a cloth line = 6 - 4.59

= 1.41 m

Hence 1.41 m more rope is required.
