By 1st condition,
x+y =10..................1
By 2nd condition,
y=1+x
x-y=-1..................2
from 1 and 2
x=9/2
Which is 9/2 times the l of 10 m of rope.
y=11/2
which is 11/2 times the l of 10 m of rope.
