a rose appears red in white light. how will it appear in green light and give reasons

The reason it appears red is because it reflects red colour and absorbs the rest. Hence when green light isshone on it, it absorbs all of the green light and not reflecting anything. ...Green light has only greenwavelengths, which get absorbed by the red flower and hence it appearsblack.

i) In green light, a rose will appear black, the reason is that the rose absorbs the green light falling on it and reflects none.  

ii) In red light, a rose will appear bright red, the reason is that the rose reflects the red light falling on it and absorbs nothing.
