Answer:

As per the information given in the question,

A is 16th from left i.e. there are 15 boys to his left.15+1

B is 4th to the right of A. i.e. there are 3 boys between A and B =3+1

B is fifth to the left of C i.e. there are 4 boys between B and C=4

C is 16th from right =15 boys to his right.=15+1

Total number of Boys=15+1+3+1+4+15+1=40 boys

According the question,

The correct option is C 40

Allen is the sixteenth from the left end= 15 boys to his left = (15 +1)= 16

Cathy was the sixteenth from the right. And there are 15 boys to his right .

(15 + 1 ) = 16

Broke lies between Allen  and Cathy such that there are 3 boys between Allen and Broke

( 3+1) = 4

4 boys between Broke and Cathy.

( 4+1)= 5

∴ Total number of boys in the row = (15+1+3+1+4+1+15)=40.

Hence total number of boys will be 40 in the row.

Ans :-  Total number of boys will be 40 in the row.
