base circumference of formed cylinder=length of the sheet=44 cm,

2πr=44,

2×22/7 × r =44,

then

r=7 cm,

hence
volume of the cylinder=πr²h,

=22/7 × 7×7×16,

=22×7×16,

=2464 cm³
