A rubber land can be streached then why it is called solid ?give reason?

This is because although it is stretched it comes back to its normal position after an external force is applied to it. More over it does not change its shape,size,diameter until and unless an external force is applied to it.

A rubber band can change its shape on stretching but it is a solid. This happens because pressure is applied on the band which makes it to change the  shape and it gains its original shape when released.
