length of track = distance travelled = 600m

Time taken for travel = 2 minutes = 2 X 60 = 120 seconds

they are asking the average speed and velocity:

Therefore the average speed = total distance travelled / total time taken

= 600/120

so the average velocity = total displacement / total time taken
