It is a story about a young boy named ranji who has 1 rupee to buy jalebis but fails to do because the shopkeeper says that the rupee is fake.
He takes the rupee and buy a fishing rod but as the season was dry, there was no fish and he sets out to sell the fishing rod and ends up exchanging with a flute.
He realises that he is not good in playing it so he tries to exchange it again.
This time he gets a beady necklace which he finally able to exchange with a rupee.
