B's income is 13.04% less than A's income.

Given :

  • A's income is 15% more than B's income.

To find:

  • Find how much percent B's income is less than A's income.

Solution:

Concept to be used:

B's income % as comparison with A's income = \frac{ \text{Difference \: of \: both \: incomes}}{Income \: of \: A} \times 100 \\ %

Step 1:

Write incomes of both A and B.

Let income of B is 100x.

Thus,

A's income is 15% more than B's income.

So,

A's income is 115x.

Step 2:

Find how much percent B's income is less than A's income.

 = \frac{115x - 100x}{115x} \times 100 \\

or

 = 13.04 \\

Thus,

B's income is 13.04% less than A's income.

So the income of A:

=B's income +(B's income×15%)

100+(100×15%)

100+[100×(15/100)]

100+15

115

Now , B's income is less then A's income by (in Rs):

A's income - B's income

Rs (115-100)

Rs -15

So B's income is less than A's income by (in %)

100×(less in Rs/ A's income )

100×(15/115)

13.04% approx
