for one packet = 9.576/15 = 0.6374kg

for 4 packet = 0.6384*4= 2.5536

rice left = 9.576 - 2.5536

= 7.02kg

therefore 7.02kg of rice left

Given :

Weight of a sack of rice is 9.576 kg

Harleen packed equally in 15 packets and she used 4 packets.

To find :

How many kilograms of rice were left?

Solution :

Quantity of rice in one packet

9.576 ÷ 15 = 0.6384 kg

Quantity of rice used by Harleen in 4 packets

0.6384 ×4 = 2.5536 kg

Quantity of rice left

9.576 - 2.5536 = 7.0224 kg

7.0224 kilograms of rice were left.
