given ,
sailor's speed in goes to downstream
= 8/40 = 8000/40×60
= 80/24 = 10/3m/s = 10/3×60×60 = 12km/h

sailor's speed in return to downstream = 8km/h
sailor's
speed in still water = (12+8)/2 = 20/2
= 10km/h
stream speed is = 12 -10 |
