If the sales are to be increased by 25 % over the previous month's sales of Rs. 70,000 then the target sale for this month is Rs. 87500.

Step-by-step explanation:

The previous month’s sale of the team was =  Rs. 70000

It is given that, the manager asked the team to increased their sales by 25% over the previous month's sales

So, the increase in sale for this month = \frac{25}{100} * 70000  = Rs. 17500

Therefore,

The target sale for this month is given by,

= [Previous Month’s Sales] + [Increase in Sales for this month]

=  70000 + 17500

= Rs 87500

Thus, the target sales for this month is Rs. 87500.
