When an acid and a base react with each other it leads to the formation of salt along with water.

eg. -> NaOH + HCl -------> NaCl + H20

In case when acid is more stronger than a base then the salt formed will be slightly acidic in nature.

In case when base is more stronger than the acid the salt formed will be slightly basic in nature.

But if both the base and acid are strong then the salt formed will be neutral in nature.
