Explanation:

MAGNESIUM HYDROXIDE.

Magnesium hydroxide is the inorganic compound with the chemical formula Mg(OH)₂. It occurs in nature as the mineral brucite. It is a white solid with low solubility in water. Magnesium hydroxide is a common component of antacids, such as milk of magnesia, as well as laxatives.

Preparation

Combining a solution of many magnesium salts with alkaline water induces precipitation of solid Mg(OH)2:

Mg2+ + 2 OH− → Mg(OH)2

On a commercial scale, Mg(OH)2 is produced by treating seawater with lime (Ca(OH)2). 600 m3 (158,503 US gallons) of seawater gives about one ton of Mg(OH)2. Ca(OH)2 is far more soluble than Mg(OH)2, so the latter precipitates as a solid:

{\displaystyle {\ce {MgO + H2O -> Mg(OH)2}}}{\displaystyle {\ce {MgO + H2O -> Mg(OH)2}}}

Hope this helps mate ☺️.

Answer:

The salt uses as an antacid is baking soda and its chemical name is Sodium Hydrogen carbonate( NaHCO3 ).

Baking soda is produced in the labs on a large scale by reacting cold and concentrated solution of sodium chloride(brine). The chemical reaction involves is as follows:

NaCl + NH3 +H2O +CO2 <arrowmark> NaHCO3 + NH4Cl

If you think the answer is perfect pls give me a like and mark my answer as brainiest.
