A sample of air contains 3 g sulphur dioxide, 5 g carbon dioxide and 42 g nitrogen. What is the percentage weight of sulphur dioxide present in the sample?

Weight of sulphur dioxide=3g.
weight of carbon dioxide=5g.
Weight of nitrogen=42g.

therefore the weight percentage of sulphur dioxide=42+5+3/100
=50/3= 16.66℅
