a sample of air occupiee 10 l at 127℃ and 1 atm pressure. what volume of air will be expelled when it is cooled to -23℃ at the same pressure?

P1 = 1 atm; V1 = 1.0 L; T1 = 25+273 = 298K

P2 = ?; V2 = 0.1 L; T2 = 298K

Since T is constant, this is Boyle's Law and P1V1 = P2V2

(1atm)(1.0L) = (x atm)(0.1L)

x = 10 atm
