The mass percent tin in the bronze is 8.28%

Given, the mass of molten tin the sample = 85 kg

The mass of molten copper in the sample of bronze = 942 kg

Total mass of the sample of bronze = Mass of molten tin + Mass of molten copper

= 85kg + 942kg

= 1027 kg

So percentage of tin = [Mass of tin/Mass of bronze) * 100]%

= [85/1027]*100%

= 8.28%

This is the required answer.
