A sample of gas occupies 100 ml at 27 C and 740 mm pressure. what will be the temp of gas when its volume is changed to 80 ml at 740 mm pressure

take eq. P1V1  =  P2V2
                T1          T2
here, P1=740mm  V1 = 100ml ⇒ 100/1000 liter ⇒ 0.1 L
         T1 = 27 c ⇒ 27 + 273 = 300 K
        P2 = 740 mm  V2 = 0.08 L  T2 = X
put value in eq.
     ⇒  740 × 0.1  = 740 × 0.08
               300              x
     ⇒  X = 740 ×0.08 ×300
                     740 × 0.1 
     ⇒ X = 240 K
T2 = 240 K
