Life of Pi
Yesterday I watched a film Life of Pi based on the novel Life of Pi written by Yann Martel. The film stars Suraj Sharma, Tabu and Irfan Khan at the lead roles. The movie was directed by Ang Lee and was produced by 20th Century Fox Production.
The storyline was about the journey of a shipwreck boy Pi or Piscine Patel and a royal Bengal tiger called Richard Parker on the ocean together. The direction was very good. The cinematography was stellar. The animation was brilliant and looked realistic. The screenplay was striking. The background scores were appropriate to the scenes and were soothing. The camera work was spectacular. The editing was a bit lengthy but was marvellous.
Altogether, the movie was an enchanting one and it won four Oscars. A blockbuster motion picture, it is a must watch film and I would give it a rating of 4.5 stars.
