A sample of water contains ca(HCO3)2 salts in dissolved form. Does this sample of water form good lather with soap? Give reason. Mention a simple technique to make the sample of water suitable for washing with soap.

Hard water contains salts of Calcium and magnesium thus the given sample is a hard water and so it doesn't form lather , instead scum is formed.

Hard water can be made into soft water by Reverse Osmosis ( RO ) .
