The annual sports function of our school was held on the last Friday in our school ground. On that day, the atmosphere of the school took a festive look. A great interest was observed among the students and the guardians. All of them came in a large number to enjoy the sports program. Honorable city Mayor was the chief guest and the Chairman of AEES Education Cbse Board was the special guest. The guests arrived at 9.30 am. Before the events began, the names of the competitors were called out. The students were lined up. There were several sports events such as high jump, long jump, pole vault, 100 meter race. I got two prizes in long jump and 100 meter race. The guests were highly pleased at our performance. They encouraged us to take part in sports and games. Then the Headmaster announced the name of the prize winners. The winners were awarded prizes by the chief guest. They became very happy for getting the prizes. After the sports, the Headmaster inspired the students in his short speech. The sports program ended at 4.00p.m. The Headmaster declared one day holiday on the following day with thanks to all. Then annual sport day program was released in magazines all over India Aees school were seen this and told that our school is best among them and got national sport day award.

On Wednesday 7th March 2018 the Year 3 and 4 football team went to Tyntesfield Primary School. All together we played 5 matches and came third!
In the first game, against St Mary's we lost 2-0 but then in the second game, against Woodheys, we won 1-0. Then we beat Tyntesfield 2-1 and made it to the semi-finals! We lost that one but won the third/fourth play-off game in a thrilling match.
Matthew was a great striker and he was also good at tackling. Rubi was also great at tackling, she could tackle people much taller than her. Xenon was a great goalie: he saved a goal using his chin, which is amazing!
