Given data :

Dimension of the saree is = 4.5 m × 1.2 m = 450 cm × 120 cm

Width of border = 25 cm

Cost of weaving = 15 paise/cm²

Area of the saree with border = {(450+50)×(120+50)}=(500×170) = 85000 cm²

[25×2 = 50 cm increase in both side of each dimension]

Area of saree without border = (450×120) = 54000 cm²

Area of the border = (85000-54000) = 31000 cm²

Now,

1 cm² weaving cost = 15 paise

31000 cm² weaving cost = 15×31000 paise = ₹4650 (answer)
