A saree 5.5 m long and 1.25 m wide has a zari border 2.5 cm broad along its length on either side. along the width on one edge the boarder was 5 cm and on the other side the zari was 25 cm wide . Find the area of zari?

Zaree portions are A , B , C and D.

Area of A = 25 * 125 cm²  
Area of B = (550 - 25 - 5) 2.5 = 520 * 2.5 cm² = Area of C
Area of D = 125 * 5 cm²

Total area of zaree = 6, 350 cm²  = 0.635 m²
