Step-by-step explanation:

Area of saree= l×b=1.5×6 = 9m^2

Width of Border = 25/100 m

= 0.25m

Border is along all its side and it is forming a rectangle in the Saree leaving border

So the width will be 1.5-0.50=1m

Length= 6-0.50=5.5

Area of rectangle =1*5.5=5.5m^2

Area of border = area of Saree - area of rectangle

=

9-5.5=3.5m^2

Answer:

Answer:-

Given:

Length of a carpet = 10 m

Width of the carpet = 6.5 m

And , boarder of this carpet has a width of 75 cm = 75/100 = 7.5 m. [ ∵ 1 cm = 1/100 m ]

We have to find the area of the path.

We can say that,

Area of the carpet (with border) - Area of the carpet = Area of the border.

As , length > breadth ; the carpet is in a rectangular shape.

We know that,

Area of a rectangle = length * breadth

So,

⟶ (10 + 7.5)(6.5 + 7.5) - (10)(6.5) = Area of the border

⟶ (17.5)(14) - 65 = Area of the border

⟶ 245 - 65 = Area of the border

⟶ 180 m² = Area of the border
