Mass of satellite = 1000kg

Mass of Earth = 6*10^-11 kg

Distance = 40000 km

Gravity constant = 6.67* 10^-11 Nm^2 kg^-2

Note: change km into m

= 40000000m

Force = gravity constant * mass 1 * mass 2/

distance ^ 2

Force = 6.67*10^-11 * 1000 * 6* 10^ 24/

40000000^ 2

Force = 6.67*6* 10^ 16/ 16*10^ 14

Force = 6.67 * 6 * 10^ 2/ 16

Force= 250.12 N

Answer:

Given :mass of satellite =1000 kg

mass of earth =6 ×10 ^-11kg

distance =40 000 km =40000000m

G=6.67×10 ^-11Nm^2kg^-2

to find : force

solutions:F=Gm1m2/r2

6.67×10

^-11×1000×6×10^24/40000000^2

6.67×6×10^16/16×10^14

6.67×6×10^2/16

=250.1N

Ans:gravitational force exerted is 250.12N

Hope it helps you!
