A saves 25% of his salary .when his salary is increased by 20% he saves 30%. what is the percentage change in expenditure as compared to present expenditure

Let his salary be 100
He saves 25% of his salary, means 25 
Expense = 100 - 25 = 75

Now, his salary is increased by 20%
Salary = 120
Savings = 30%
Savings = 120*30/100 = 36
Expense = 84 
Change in expense = 84 - 75 = 9
Percentage change in expense = 9/75 * 100 = 12%
